is this a bug or not?....

(1/1)

relequestual:
dont get me wrong, i love process time. its way better than the other process taming apps out there.
i seem to have a problem with it.
i cant remember if it was there all along, but it is now, and i re installed the other day and its the same.

so what happens is when i go to set an explicit rule for a process, i click the drop down box, but less than a second after it vanishes as the list refreshes.

does this happen with anyone else?

ive been getting round it by just selecting any rule as fast as i can and then changing it on the config menu.

any help?

can provide any more info needed. running xp sp2

mouser:
not a bug.. just uncheck the option to "hide processes using < 1%" :

relequestual:
i see the check box. being a software reviewer, that was naturally the first thing i tried. sadly this makes no difference at all. the ist still refreshes every second, and the drop down still vanishes.

mouser:
Let me check into it, I understand what you are saying now but i can't reproduce it here.  What operating system are you using?  I may be able to just easily disable refreshing while dropdown box is triggered which would solve the problem.

ps. as a temporary workaround you can set rules in the Configuration tab as well, it's just a bit more cumbersome.

relequestual:
as i said in my first post, win XP sp2 =P lol
yeh, that would be a really good idea. it shouldnt be too difficult i should think. I mean i only know VB well and don't know what process tamer is written in.

also as i said before, i love it. so much so, that i will be writing a review for it shortly on my blog, and will then add it to the list in this forum =D

EDIT:
surly you could make it so that the menu just stays up until you select an option, like process lasso does (used to be called process supervisor. its by bitsum tech)
