IDEA: Bmap - modify to strecth Wallpaper

(1/1)

222fbj:
bmap (http://www.geocities.jp/fujimakoto/main_en.html) is a great little tool I use to quickly browse and change wallpaper.  Unfortunately the Wallpaper command does not Stretch the image to fit.  I'm not a programmer...and realize there are many other ways to change wallpaper...but thought it could not  hurt to ask if someone could mod the source to strecth the wallpaper.   The source is available on the linked page.

Thanks.

Barrett
Note - I originally got bmap from Tim RIces page - bcheck.net - but have not been able to load his page for a few days.

if you're using WinXP, there are some registry keys that you can manipulate.. btw, if you're interested there's a small tool i've written for this purpose, PM me if you want to try the tool.. :)

Thanks... I'm interested in the reg keys - do they force wallpaper to stretch?

lanux128:
ok, here you go.. also by changing in the registry, the "stretch" mode can't be turned off.. more info here.

• Start regedit.exe
• Goto "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop"
• Create a string value by the name: "WallpaperStyle"
• Set it to "2" for Stretch.
• Then you may have to log-off & on again.. after this, all wallpaper will be in stretch mode.

Other values: 1 - Center, 0 - Normal
btw, the normal caveat applies when dealing with the registry editor.. :)

Thanks very much!
