i think bloat in any sense is bad.. something like gluttony, it doesn't matter whether you gorge on beef or venison.. :) but coming back, doesn't feature bloat leads to resource bloat รก la Microsoft Office suites? that's why i decided to get more memory to counter these bloats. but there is a limit to which i can tolerate, e.g. Nero who from being a lean & charming young prince who transmogrified into a fat, lazy emperor who couldn't lift a finger.. no wonder, i'm constantly on the lookout for newer software..

btw, to answer GHammer's question, i posted about such a program here..

To me, resource and feature bloat stroll hand in hand, as equals, down the path of evil.

I nominate Nero for the winner of this pageant.
I was looking for something to burn image files in Vista and found that Nero 6 did not like Vista.
Even installing the 'Essentials' got me Nero Home and the lovely Nero Scout.

Anyone know a burner that will handle NRGs?
Or something that will convrt them to ISO, reliably?

Haven't tried it but NRG2ISO might help or ISOBuster can convert image formats (free version and paid version of ISOBuster).

(By the way I have found ISOBuster really useful recovering data from damaged discs. You can set it to keep retrying until it reads damaged areas and often succeeds in the end)

There are loads of links at http://www.google.co...%2ENRG%20to%20%2EISO too !!
