Greetings,

this free program process tamer I thought was good?? until I came here, just to jump threw hoops, is just waste of bloody time!

then they want a donation...you guy are nuts.

??

Hi.
First of all, 'THEY' want a donation because the software is DONATIONware. The site is called DONATIONcoder... any pattern?
Second, you don't HAVE to donate MONEY; what about donating time? Hunt for bugs, correct 'em, be nice with the comunnity...
Third, there's always the free keys.
Greetings from somewhere cold,

Hi somaly!
Welcome to the site!

You should be able to see your key at this page, as long as you are logged on at the forum.

I'm sure someone will be able to translate this post to french, if you can't understand this.

Entering key causes memory fault
« Reply #29 on: November 23, 2007, 12:39:46 PM »
I am running an old OS, Win 98SE, with 256 megs of ram. When I paste my license key and hit ``accept' windows announces the memory fault below. I also get this message routinely, when I try to shut down my machine, without explicitly unloading FARR.

FINDANDRUNROBOT caused a general protection fault
in module USER.EXE at 0004:00005d53.

He's got a point.  I'm pretty irritated with FARR and how, if it can't find a program it doesn't go into the internets FIND it and RUN it for me.  I mean, what kind of crap is this?

For instance, I tried to run "Unreal Tournament 3" and FARR just *failed*.  C'mon!  Why didn't it go to the web site and download it for me??

And the technical support simply sucks.  I had to install FARR myself!!  Why can't you guys get your act together and come to my house and put the software on my machine and fix my webcam while you're at it?

And you expect DONATIONS?!

Ralf is joking in case you can't tell.

But the post by howardb is serious and seems like a show stopper.
I haven't tried FARR on windows98 since a long time ago -- i will try it again in the next week and see if i can't spot anything.

howardb -- feel free to email me at mouser@donationcoder.com and we might try to figure out what the problem might be together.

We dont provide keys for other programs. You must purchase them. We only provide you a key for donationcoder.com programs.

Ha Ha - I like it ;)

nubzor pee all you like ... its you that will be dehydrated.

Seriously have you gone back to http://www.donationcoder.com/Keys/ and got your key after registering. There should be a new key there now that doesn't expire in 60 days.

Hi nuzbarnubzor,

As Carol was saying, once you sign up at the forum and then visit the license key page, you should get a license key that lasts for 6 months (not 60 days).  And after that 6 months is up you go to that page again and it will automatically give you another license key that lasts for another 6 months, after which you are entitled to a license key that lasts forever.

Hare to type with pee in your eyes anyway, Mouser . . .

Seriously, though, is it really so painful to generate a license key occasionally?  I'd rather download a license key every six months than authorize a credit card payment every 8 to 12 months. . .

But what do I know?!

For all the flak you catch for FREE license codes, you may as well make donations compulsory.

nploos, here is our help section on using the license keys:
http://www.donationcoder.com/Help/2/

You can also email me directly for more help (mouser@donationcoder.com) or let us know more specifically what the problem is.  Usually that help section clears up most confusions.

I have just downloaded Process Tamer because after I recommended it to my daughter,
she said it stopped her laptop from thrashing and sped it up!
So now I have downloaded it myself and have just finished reading the first 2 pages of relevant info for newcomers.

Mouser, I am SO impressed with your civility and elegant manners, your patient acceptance of human foibles, and last but not least, your erudition! It is sad to see the poor level of English reflected in so many computer forums. It is a delight to see the caliber of members here! The exchanges are really quite delightful.

Important Q.:
Is Process Tamer VISTA COMPATIBLE, please?
Ditto Screenshot Captor?

I applaud your attempts to make the free-software available-by-optional-donation method workable!

May the Force be with you! (Oops, wrong TV show!)

I am eligible for a permanent non-expiring license key as at today, 19th Jan. But the page still shows me a 6-Month Renewable License Key. What should I do to get a permanent key?
