I highly recommend PuTTY a free Telnet/SSH Client. I would guess that many people here use it and love it as much as I do.

There now is operastumbler which I am happily using. Version 1.1 is quite advanced already and I use it frequently. You have to provide your ID, screenname, and password though. I didn't have a problem with that, you can inspect the code where the credentials are used.
I am really happy about operastumbler. Now opera only needs to stop raising itself and thus stealing focus and it will be teh bestestest browwwser out there.
