Minesweeper cheats!

Ok.. Everybody has already played Minesweeper, right?
It's been in Windows since 3.1 and i bet everybody has had a go at it.
It's a very basic game, and sometimes is based in luck. Well... Not anymore!

-After starting the game, type xyzzy and press Shift and Enter at the same time.
-Move the mouse over the playing area and keep your eye on the upper left corner of the Windows desktop.
-A white pixel will appear when the mouse pointer is over a safe square, and turn dark when the mouse is over a mine.

I think that's the weirdest cheats i've ever seen, still, it does work, and i'd love to talk to the man who had the idea of including this on the program!

It's an old-old-old-old cheat - I think it's been in there since forever. The word has been used in other places as well, mostly in old software - can't think of any titles right now, but I'm sure google will flood you

Hm, I don't think the site looks good - it reminds me too much of the pages that domain squatters put up >_<

Heh, sweet. I like a good game of minesweeper every now and then, but it drives me crazy when I have to randomly click a square because there's no way to tell if there's a mine there or not... Thanks!

BTW - None of the minesweeper stuff seems to work on Vista.

i think it's a US govt. requirement not to include any undocumented features in software that is sold to them..
