"Labels" in the PM area... what are they for?

Can someone tell me what the "Labels" on the PM page is for and how to use them?

i've never used them, but im quite curious as well :)
I suspect they are a way to file your personal messages away so you can find certain types later..
The place to look (and also look for new modificiations you'd like us to install here) is:

Search their forum or docs for answers (and let us know what you find!).

You can create labels to categorize your messages. First go to "Manage Labels" and create some labels, then go to you inbox and label each message accordingly.

Ok, am I missing something? I created the boxes and I applied the "Labels," but it doe not look like anything moved. Most curious?
