its the email alias - go to your options and the alias/group tab to check them out.

masu: you can uncheck/disable any aliases that you don't want, or rename them (and tweak their regex pattern) to start with a period so they are still available but less likely to pop up unexpectedly.

good suggestion by jdmarch.

i wonder if i should add an option that will allow you to say that you have to type a specific character before an alias (like .) in order for it to be treated like an alias..
