This little prog. provides a very handy feature : converting any app to a tray icon just holding control and clicking minimize.

If you want to reorder and hide some icons, then ShellTrayInfo is a free alternative:

(As you see, no need to buy PS tray factory if you only need those features; I still haven't found a free alternative for the 'send keyboard combos to tray icon' feature; let me know if you find one)

hitmark:
hmm, do you know the requirements for shelltrayinfo?

i got a "could not find entry point" error when trying to run it.

urlwolf:
hmm nope

hitmark:
crap, i was hoping to replace good old traymanager with a different program.

as you may have guessed, im not using winxp and so i need a way to manage my tray icons :P

Clive:
Excuse me if this is a bit "off thread", but is there a way of preventing icons of software that you want to leave permanently running from appearing in the tray? Or perhaps flashing up during Start Up (like the warning lights when you turn on a car's ignition) and then disappearing?
