TIA

I applaud those that refuse to commit "intellectual suicide."Truth, unlike opinion, tradition, etc. will always be able to stand on its own. Truth is not a static, but a living entity and will perpetually impart life; therefore, any "truth" that does not or can not impart life can not be Truth.I am persuaded the only reason bad men have succeeded is not because good men have done nothing, but that good men did not do enough.

i've never used them, but im quite curious as well I suspect they are a way to file your personal messages away so you can find certain types later.. The place to look (and also look for new modificiations you'd like us to install here) is: http://www.simplemachines.orgSearch their forum or docs for answers (and let us know what you find!). ps. Modifications available are in the Download section.

You can create labels to categorize your messages. First go to "Manage Labels" and create some labels, then go to you inbox and label each message accordingly.

The labels are on the messages if you apply them, but the messages will remain in the inbox too, and you won't see anything that hints that you applied any sort of label when viewing from the inbox.
If you delete them from the inbox, they will also be deleted from the labeled area too.
It's not like gmail labels, where you can label them and remove them from the inbox and just file them.
Yes, that is a bit annoying.
Just select the messages from the list at the top of the page by checking the boxes and then clicking the dropdown to apply the labels to all the ones you want in one shot.
If you try to do it from an individual message, it will just refer you to the top list where it will be automatically checked for you and you will be expected to apply the label from there.
Be really careful you don't click that delete button, or the checked messages will end up gone forever. There is no trash section in the personal message area that you can recover deleted messages from.

Thanks again for the help. I wonder if there is a way to make them work like one would expect. Things like this in software always provoke me to wonder what they were thinking?
