Here's a fun little game for you to relax a bit with. Enjoy it.

Quote
This game is based on the popular Warcraft3 "Element Tower Defence" and the Starcraft Turret Defence" gameplay. The object of the game is to prevent the hordes (waves) of monsters from getting to the castle by building element towers near the path.

Your menu is located at the bottom of your screen. You can choose from a number of different elements to build towers from. When you click on a tower that has been build, the build menu becomes an upgrade menu, allowing you to make towers stronger.

The monsters will spawn (appear) every 20 seconds. Their health will be multiplied by 1.25 with every wave. If your towers fail to kill the monsters, and they do get to the castle, a civilian of your castle will die. When all your civilians die, the game is over.

Every game experience is different every time you play depending on the position, elements, and the upgrades you choose for your towers.

The creator of this game scored 90. Can you beat that? Click "Start" to start the game.

Many new changes in this version:
-Added teh "Tower Range" variable
-The Flower Tower is a bit slower to attack
-Fixed almost All Bugs and Added Quality Adjustment Button

Do you have any ideas? We're not going to shoot Cody are we?!

I have some experience with ActionScript, but have never made a game - I'd like to try it some day though. :-)

I also like games like Boulder Dash or Sokoban involving some logic / puzzles.

This is fun!
I'd love to see a more extended version of this.

It is very interesting to see how the abstracted the 'fun-element' in those rts games and made it into this game.

The max i got was 79. All acomplished using the green towers at the max level. I think those are the best because they have a high rate of fire, and at the max level, they represent the best power to cost relation.
It's a fantastic game, i loved playing it! cheesy

(btw.. anderson could you reduce the size of the image? it's way too large for my screen :S)

When this was on digg some guys did some pretty accurate calculations and the green towers have been the best money / power wise. They also found out that it is impossible to get the third update of the "flower"-tower which means that the game needs some fixing to work as intended.

i managed to get to 80 using some of the techniques described on digg, but yeah, it deffinitly needs tweaking it's too frustrating not to be able to use everything. It's also frustrating that you are inevitably going to die hehehe

what about this for a game idea:

1) each level is a diferent layout (use a grid editor so people could make new levels)
2) on each level you have a certain number of cody coins that you must defend.
3) then you get to place different members of cody's family at different places to defend the coins.

The game has a nasty bug whereby a tower sometimes randomly disappears when you build a new one. Makes the game very frustrating.

that's not a bug, that's hyper-realistic simulation of termites infiltrating your tower.

I really want to code my own "tower defense" kind of game one day, when I get zillions of little pieces of time that I can string together.

Managed to get the score of 67 on the first try. The graphic is quite boring so I didn't try again tongue. I played a similar game before...not flash based...with nice graphic...but I don't remember the title  embarassed

I found a similar game to this, called Master of Defense. You can play online or download the Windows version here. The download is a trial version but I bought it because it's an awesome game!

P.S. I made it to level 81 in Tower Defense. The trick is to use only plant towers. Put them in line with the three horizontal paths on the right. You will have 3, 4 and 4 towers. You may lose some citizens in the early levels, but once you upgrade the towers sufficiently you will get very far easily.

It seems to do that to me only when I build too close to another tower and possibly accidentally overlapping another tower. But it is very frustrating if you've spent hundreds on upgrading that tower and it disappears. And it would be nice if the upgrade stats for the Green towers showed what they really are.

My first time I got a decent 57. The highest I got after a few tries was 77. The lowest I got was 8, and I didn't lose on purpose.

Curator Defense, posted by f0dder above, is really very good, and very fun.  Seems to involve some very serious strategy too.  Really excellent find  thumbs up

addendum:

Curator Defense is WONDERFUL  Kiss Kiss Kiss
Highly Recommended.
