Microsoft Releases SyncToy 1.4

SyncToy helps you copy, move, rename, and delete files between folders and computers quickly and easily.

Version 1.0 was release over a year ago and they have added some new features.

Thanks for the info, I find the earlier version works quite well as a quick-and-dirty safety net when I'm working on a bunch of projects.

I use this at work and its great.  One of my jobs is a breakfix technician and I have 2 notebook hard drives in external bays that I have loaded down with various programs and tools using pstart as an autorun menu on it.  The boss also has one.  I put updated tools and new tools on the server and we use the synctoy to up date our drives super easily.  We use the echo method, since we only do updates on the server, never the drive.  Works like a champ.

Yep, the update is nice, and long overdue. I grabbed it right after it was released; it's always been a favorite for the same reasons 'cranioscopical' stated. Two of the XP PowerToys take you to MS validation d/l pages  :down: The whole collection can be found at MajorGeeks as one .zip.
