True! Spam is probably my #1 irritant with computers today. Not that I have to deal with a ton of it necessarily as I have decent spam filters, but I do have to review their work, and my customers complain about it a fair bit. It's very frustrating having to say you can't really do something about it. Although it's funny, most people are used to the junk they get in their postal mail and can't get rid of. Then again most of that isn't ads for erection pills, diet pills, or "hot stocks".

Google Mail has optimized its filters pretty good, hardly anything is labeled wrong. I now only check the spam folder every 10 days or so, the amount of false positives is pretty damn low!

Hehe, true, making way longer and more complex addresses might help. As long as they were human-memorable, it'd at least make the spammers work a lot harder to reach actual people.
