Renegade:
Burak does a good job with WinRar. And I agree - WinRar is much superior to WinZip.

Speaking of... I need to check out the WinZip 11 beta. I'll probably get to that on Monday if I finish this round of promotions. Speaking of... Got to hop over to the other forum :)

Renegade, sorry, but I have absolutely no idea about what you're talking about :-[

[(but I think Corel bought it from the company that previous acquired it from WinZip not as a first purchase - whcih suggests the current financial model isn't working)

More along the other way around (sort of) - in 2003 Vector Capital bought Corel, then in 2005 Vector Capital bought WinZip and put it under the Corel umbrella:

Ah right - it all gets very confusing with everyone buying each other  :tellme: :tellme: :tellme:

Personally, I prefer WinRAR and even if there is RAR support in WinZip, I'll still use WinRAR. IMO, the only advantage of WinZip is the more elegant UI, but WinRAR is fine too.
