IDEA: Utility which highlights filenames of recently created files

(1/2) > >>

fatjoe:
Relatively simple concept. I had a feeling it had already been suggested but a search for highlight turned up nothing :(

Basically a tool which when you run, everytime you view a folder in windows, the background colours of filenames are adjusted if they have been created recently.

Maybe if the creator was really keen they could make it customisable but as an example.

File created today: Green Background Colour for file name text
Yesterday: Yellow
past yesterday, within 7 days: Orange

May not seem useful to some but hey sometimes it's handy to find out files you've recently downloaded & see whats new etc

sri:
Why not sort by last modified/last accessed?

brotherS:
If what sri suggested is not enough, give Locate a try! I sometimes use it for similar purposes as you described, for example you can search for all *.exe files that are older than 3 days but not older than 10. And every search is completed within a blink of your eyes!

jgpaiva:
I'm pretty sure that XYplorer's color filters could do that.

urlwolf:
and probably dopus, too?
