Tech trivia: Hedy Lamar avatar and her brains

(1/1)

zridling:
For those unaware, Hedy Lamar is both the subject of my newest avatar and one of the tech geniuses of the 20th century who patented the spread spectrum that pioneered wireless networks and later developed into such trifles as cellphones and the Global Positioning System. Her work on wireless directly helped defeat Hitler and give the Allies a distinct advantage in WWII. If you've seen any of her films, you may have seen her in Samson and Delilah. In the previous version of CorelDRAW, she was the award-winning vector graphic that was used on the cover of all the program's CDs.

She gave great face onscreen, and when you have that kind of brain, then you're truly beautiful!
