I've run across a few pages recently that I really like and I can't figure out what "category" they might fit into. To me they seem something like "stream-of-consciousness" link forums or something... Like Digg without the hype, Wikipedia without the eggheads... I dunno. Especially everything2; just pick up a thread and follow it from room to room to room to....

I see Mouser has a rss feed from memepool...
App and Mouser have already found everything2.com.

What would you call them? Got any more?

I actually filed memepool and everything2 under 'general blogs'.

Well, yeah... but these two in particular have a certain... how the french folks say... je ne sais quoi. Something that sets them apart from simply "blogging". or maybe I'm reading more into it.

I find some interesting story that links to Everything2 every once in a while and it always reminds me how interesting that place is. I never stick around long, but I suspect this may be a self-defense mechanism, realizing I would probably get lost there forever reading everything.

Oh, anyway, but categorizing it, um... Yeah I have a "Really cool stuff" folder I put things like that under. Either that or "News and Info". No place really suits it, eh?
