This is a .NET 4 (full, not client) build. There is no installer - it's simply unzip & run. There is no new functionality. The only change is an update to .NET 4.
thanks for the update!

Yes! He was off to a great start and it's quite useful as it is, but I'd love to see him finish it.

And whether he does or not, I still may do my own.  ;)

Here's a ruler that I thought was cool.
It's not like renegade's program, but some may like it.

Some may like this as well.
Ruler works great but the protractor and screen-cap features are excellent... IMO.  :D

Their site says the Freeware version may include third-party (sponsored) advertisements but as I recall if you choose Custom Install these can be avoided.

I prefer those transparent rulers that you drag across to get a read-out of both axes, the width and height of your selection:

Here's the last Freeware version:

Occasionally i revisit some of my older posts to see if the links still work.  This PicPick is still valid..  :)  ...and it also reminded me to 'check for updates'.
I leave auto-update unchecked.  It's annoying because it checks every time i startup.

For Microsoft Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and XP. Including both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

Just 10-days old.

v4.0.1 (2014-11-15)

◦Added Share Tab
◦Added an option to exit when closing Image Editor
◦Added Open File Location in tab menu
◦Added default program mode
◦Added Triangle Shape
◦Improved Widget (Capture Bar)
◦Fixed an issue of color palette on Windows 8.1
◦Fixed an issue of repeat last capture
◦Fixed mouse cursor issues
◦Fixed an issue of box.com connection

We guarantee that this commercial free version of PicPick is 100% CLEAN which means it does not contain any advertisement or thirdparty softwares.
This is new.  There is no Custom Install any more and... it installed right over-top of the older version... no uninstall needed.   ;D

There's a portable version as well... on the download page... as of this post.
