is that xpsp2's security center? it's pretty useless,
you can turn the damn thing off, see this:
How to Disable Security Center Alerts

or just disable its' service. (run>services.msc)
If you find a good solution and become attached to it, the solution may become your next problem.

its just that normal file explorer can run the dialog but with FARR the run button is disable somehow....

so when i need to run this app with FARR... i cant....i need to look manually for the file and then double click it...

I started to receive such a warning when trying to open an Access file via the network - this only started after upgrading to IE 7.  Did not happen before and at least in my case I can click open and it works then.

there's a tip at www.annoyances.org, why don't you try that?

Problem:
Running XP SP2 or higher, you try to run an executable located on another machine
on your network. Your accosted with a prompt: "The publisher could not be verified".
You are forced to confirm that you wish to run this program... every time you run
it.

Solution:
Run gpedit.msc

Go to User Configuration >> Administrative Templates >> Windows Components >> Attachment
Manager

Add "*.exe" to the "Inclusion list for moderate risk file types" setting.

"This policy setting allows you to configure the list of moderate risk file types.
If the attachment is in the list of moderate risk file types and is from the restricted
or Internet zone, Windows prompts the user before accessing the file. ..."

Yes i could do that...but that doesnt change the fact that from FARR, i wasnt able to run the exe file but i can run it if i go through explorer....

But i think i will still change the *.exe through  gpedit.msc...Thanks...

do let us know if it works.. from the google results, this seems to be one of those random weird behaviour of IE that no one can put a finger on.
