This guy's really got a handle on the process...
This kind of photography was done by Prof. Edgerton of MIT for years and years. (He developed the strobe flash)
Waugh may be standing on the shoulders of giants, but he's definitely adding to the view!

Yeah, the stuff he does with color, light, and refraction is really special. Well beyond (different than) what Edgerton tended to focus on. But he did some phenomenal stuff too. :)
