Is our universe about to be mangled?
« on: September 03, 2006, 09:39 AM »
Our universe may one day be obliterated or assimilated by a larger universe, according to a controversial new analysis. The work suggests the parallel universes proposed by some quantum theorists may not actually be parallel but could interact – and with disastrous consequences.

Bah humbug :D . I read New Scientist and other such magazines on a near constant basis and I've found myself desensitized to all these wild theories. I find it tiring to read article after article of some sole scientist's mad notions. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not say scientists shouldn't have mad notions, just that respected magazine such as New Scientist should do a better job of shielding us from these ideas until they've been properly worked out or at least backed up by more than one or two other experts.
