2. The Great DonationCoder.com GTD Experiment of 2006
Are you not working as efficiently as you could be?  Do you want to learn how to bettter manage your time and energy, and not waste time thinking about useless stuff?  Join the Club! Lots of us on the forum are interested in the Getting Things Done approach to time management and working more efficiently.  So we are going to spend three months, from September 1 to December 1 practicing GTD principles, and sharing our experience.  We'll have an informal "coach" of sorts available to help people who want to participate.

5. Site News
There is always room to imrpove the site, that's our motto.

* MAJOR New Site Feature - The Tour Page - Josh has outdone himself this time and has begun to create a massive collection of short fun video screencasts of various aspects of the site.  Check out everything from tutorials on signing up and donating, to brief tours of the Coding Snacks section.  A Great way to learn about all the secret areas of the site you didn't know about!
* Report on server downtime on August 8th - We had a day and a half of downtime this month, for the first time in many months.  Read a bit about how it happened and what we did to fix it.
* New Member Server - Spurred on by the Server issue, we have gotten a secondary server which will now be devoted exclusively to hosting user websites, blogs, etc. (made possible by your donations).
* Should we add graphics (and other) challenges to the self-teaching school? - If you haven't checked out our Programmming School, now is the time.  And make your voice heard.
6. New Mini-Reviews by Members
The mini review section is looking great and Josh is doing a superlative job as the official demo screencaster on the site.  If you have a program that you think deserves a screencast be sure to drop Josh a note.

7. Programming Contest Updates
The deadline to enter our massive C++ Builder Programming Contest is now over.  You can check out the entries and download and use most of them now.  We will be announceing the winners on or around September 1st. And if you missed out on entering the C++ Builder contest, you can still enter our new Accessibility Game Programming Contest, where the object is to design either a game whose output is audio only, or a game with a single button as input.
