Remove *.lnk

If I link to a folder, I would like to display the links without the *.lnk. is it possible?
btw, pls ingnore this if it has already been requested.

just noticed that there's more to shortcut links other *.lnk, such as *.scf, *.pif etc.. so i'd like to suggest, how about not showing extensions altogether?

i can add an option for that for those that don't want them shown.
