UXP Mail&News client
« on: September 14, 2018, 02:44 AM »
From PaleMoon forum:

Since we've got a solid platform to build on now and people have started using it to create their own alternative clients based on it, I'd like to draw the attention to a donation collection effort that is currently on-going to develop and launch a fully-capable e-mail, usenet news and feed client building on UXP and being based on Thunderbird prior to their descent into the limited realm of WebExtensions and "modern Mozilla".

If the Thunderbird Council will not listen to what its users need, then we will!

Please see here for details about this effort and how to chip in/donate. Tobin, our Communicator specialist and prior contributor to the SeaMonkey project will be spearheading this effort. Of course everything will be Open Source under the MPL, as usual.

This effort will directly replace FossaMail for the gap it has filled in the past. Despite pleas to revive it, I simply don't have the time to do so. Instead, please support this new client!

Thanks for your attention.

I supported the project.

Apologies if I posted this in the wrong area - please move as see fit.

The client has been released under the name Interlink Mail & News:

Interlink is a Mail, RSS, and Newsgroups client based on Mozilla-sourced Community Code and built on the Unified XUL Platform.
