how about a donation to locate 3.0?
(1/1)

Hi,
I was thinking that the developer of locate (it is a solo operation!) has managed to do something that big guys like Microsoft didn't: get HD indexing right.
I remember that here at DONATION CODER we donated something like $100 to autohotkey. I think a similar action (maybe smaller? depends on the # of users) would be good for locate, as it has many admirers in this site. I'd hate seeing M$ buying and cancelling that project (as could be the case with systernals).
What do you think?
mouser:
locate is a very impressive program that has been talked about a lot on our forum, and well worth a try:
homepage: http://locate32.webhop.org/
the author even posted here on our forum: https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1385.msg29567#msg29567
so you can:
* donate to him using donationcredits
does he have another donation method?
i do think though, speaking only for myself, that this is not really something to set up a special "fund" for. autohotkey was special because skrommel and others were using that tool to make coding snacks and stuff, so it was a case where people were benefiting from autohotkey while not actually being direct users of it.
JavaJones:
I'd be willing to donate a somewhat sizeable amount myself if he'd work on what's being discussed over here: https://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=4617.new
