This will be a lengthy process, I'll update this thread while development goes on.

(Background: I reviewed the Acme text editor a while ago for DC. sam is from what it has evolved. I will also add assorted features from third-party patches to sam, e.g. the color coding from deadpixi's version, and probably leave out some of the more obscure Plan 9 integration features.)

TODO:

  • Mostly recreate the look and feel DONE
  • Implement opening files DONE
  • Implement calling subprocesses DONE
  • Implement all other commands in progress
  • Implement the Edit language TODO
