FARR and Windows 10
« on: June 19, 2017, 01:35 AM »
I'm currently using FARR (2.226.01) with Win10, but I found it 2 issues:
1. Shortcut does not support "WIN" key
2. Windows app such as Calculator or Edge cannot be located

Is this limitation of FARR under Win10?

1. Shortcut does not support "WIN" key

Can you elaborate?
When you make a custom hotkey configuration in options you should be able to check the "Win" checkbox to say the hotkey should trigger with windows key.  Let me know if that doesn't work.

2. Windows app such as Calculator or Edge cannot be located

This is at the top of my todo list for the next release..

Sorry, maybe that's my mistake.
Previously, I used "Win" + "Z" to toggle FARR on Win7. But after upgrade to Win10, When I check "Win" checkbox combined with "Z", a line of red text at bottom left says "NOT Available (#65626)". Seems to me "Win"+"Z" is occupied by system. But press Win+Z didn't take me anywhere... strange.

See if you can get other win+ combinations to work.

it's supposed to "Show the commands available in an app in full-screen mode"

Yes, other win+combination do work. But I miss my win+z on Win7 :(

I used this workaround for the time being: https://www.donation....msg396580#msg396580
