You do that by pointing the camera at a slightly different place.

DSC00746.JPGArizona sunsets    DSC00745.JPGArizona sunsets

Same sunset, processed differently by the camera. Which do you prefer, dark or light?

I'm mooning you.   Of course, if you want something better than what my camera can get, you want the ultimate moonshot below.

Same camera, same technique as above. Actually, this is a sunrise. Which one do you prefer?

yes,
  • have you been using ICE to fill in the edges of the panoramas ?
  • have you been using a tripod ?

Had a look at this ICE video, it's very impressive software:

No, I crop to remove the worst of the black background and then use MS Paint's Color Picker, Fill and Brush to hide any remaining black space. I don't use a tripod, the camera is quick enough to not need it. I didn't know ICE could fill in.

according to the video above, yes. If so it must be better than MS paint (which I've got to say though, has been working reasonably well: I hadnt noticed anything funny about the edges).

This is another shot of the same sunset. I used Inpaint 6.2 to remove a blob from the picture. Can you tell where it was?

I used auto-complete on this panorama. Looks better, doesn't it?

What's autocomplete again?
Is that the auto fill of the edges after creating panorama?

Theirs...                                   ...Mine

The full eclipse was much dimmer than I expected and I couldn't get a picture of that until dawn.

I did get some nice pictures of a partial eclipse, though. I am hoping to get better pictures of the next eclipse on Jan. 21, 2019. Not sure about that.

Actually some people would consider this a sunrise picture, but this is before the sun is visible.

ICE auto-complete had problems with this panorama.

DSC01225c stitch.jpgArizona sunsets

So did Inpaint 6.1 You have to look at that corner actual size to see that.

02-19-18 Low- flying clouds .jpgArizona sunsets

So I manually cropped it.

without enlarging it, it looks to me like it's doing a repeating pattern thing there -- so cropping for the best

Auto-complete didn't have a problem with this one.

A pink rather than orange sunset.
