help reqeusted from non-US members
« on: June 22, 2005, 09:48 PM »
i've listed on the weather tray review page the tools that support international weather-
i'd really appreciate some feedback on how well these tools support your countries.. do they have a good range of cities, do some report more information than others, etc?

Sorry, but i am just adding to that plea, we dont all live in the US so i too would love info on good weather software that covers international locations.
The only good one i know about is EarthBrowser from www.earthbrowser.com but its not really very easy to use in my opinion.

the two good freeware tools (weather watcher and weather pulse) in our review both turn out to support international cities.

Weather watcher and Australia

Re weather watcher and australia ...
Looked for the major regional centres in south australia (a state with only a few major cities/large towns) and found 4 including the capital city of the state, which I thought was pretty good.
Choosing 1 of them , here's a comparison of the ww  versus the Bureau of Met  predicted temperatures:
              Thu   Fri    Sat
WW         86    96    85
Met          90    94    88

All states' capital cities throughout Australia were available, plus many regional centres, so I'd say the coverage was better than expected.

Weather Watcher v5.6.14 works fine, I live in Georgia. Using for more than 2 years.

since i live in the browser a lot, i use this Firefox extension: Forecastfox

Get international weather forecasts from AccuWeather.com, and display it in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable and unobtrusive extension.
