That's an incredible toy.
Actually, that's way more than a regular toy. Amazing what these guys came up with! And i'm surprised it doesn't cost something like 150€.

Cool video, sure looks like this amphibious vehicle can do quite a few amazing tricks cheesy

ohmy Wow, that's what discretionary income was made for! Remarkably cheap, too. Um, I'm going to buy one (at Target), I'll let you guys know how it is when I get it. cheesy Says 2-6 weeks though. Damn. I'll let you guys know, hehe.

Note that it requires a separate "LiPo" (Lithium Polymer) Battery. I'm not sure which model yet but they seem to run about $50 in themselves. So the actual cost is about $120. Still, if it does what's in that video, well worth it. It says ages 5 and up so I'm worried this may be a cut down, crappy version. The original design appears to have been productized and is now being sold through Target but that doesn't mean it's anywhere near as good. We'll see... Meanwhile the adventurous can build their own with the help of this info: http://www.aeromodelisme-rc.net/hydrofoam.htm or buy on eBay (note that there are apparently a lot of fakes around so be careful, or just be patient and see how mine works out cheesy). Or if you are willing to pay a bit extra, there's http://www.trendtimes.com/recohy.html ($250, about twice the apparent cost of the Target one when you include the battery cost).

No worries JavaJones -  According to the web site,http://www.michaelconnally.com/, you buy the real deal at Target!

And here is a shorter, less exciting video: http://www.stormlauncher.com/

Sweeeet. God this thing looks cool. I've always said there are few things in life truly worth the money you spend on them. For me DSL, or really any form of broadband, has always been one of them. This thing looks like one to add to the list. In fact it's hard to believe anything this good and cool would really be sold commercially, much less for this cheap. But again we'll see. cheesy

Thanks for posting, mouser! I saw that video 6 to 12 months ago and wondered that they didn't (then) bring it to the market.

Can't wait to read some real live review here smiley
