I'm just after ordering two KMP ink-packs for my Canon iP6600D
I get an extra ink in the pack that I cant use

It's a replacement cartridge for the Canon PGI-5BK
I dont know what printer it's for - not mine at any rate.
It's pigmented ink
KMP makes a very high quality replacement for Canon inks

You have to use the chip from the original Canon cartridge, but,
once you've done this once it's made very easy to transfer this to next (KMP) cartridge
So,
as of next week I will have 4 of these (2 lying around already) and,
will be willing to post them free of cost to anyone in Europe (only!)

send me a PM is easiest I guess :)

I have a hauppage wintv tuner from an old pc of mine. This is a PCI form factor device, and was known to work in the computer it was in. If anyone is interested, please, inquire within.

How old is the card?  Any chance that it would work with Vista?  Here is a list on the company website of working cards
http://www.hauppauge...s/support/vista.html

If it is compatible and not already spoken for, I would love to have it.

Wow, I just realized how old the message about the card was that I replied about.  Oh well.

I have a television-to-lcd monitor adapter thing (KWorld TVBox 1680ex); let's you watch tv through your existing lcd monitor.

works well just don't need it anymore.  best use is if you have a monitor with both digital and analog inputs, and can use your digital connection for your pc, and analog connection for this -- then it's easy to switch between them.

info here: http://www.newegg.co...Item=N82E16815260010 (price new is $60).

any supporting dc member who wants it message me, i'll pick one person at random and send it.

Lite-on "Ez-dub" external dvd-rw (USB2 interface) [info]

I bought this hoping i could use it as a boot driver for an old laptop, but the laptop bios won't let it boot from an external usb cd/dvd.

any supporting dc member (in US because of shipping costs) who wants it message me, i'll pick one person at random and send it.

I was just sent an e-mail from http://TigerDirect.com saying I haven't bought enough from them recently, so to woo me back they offered me a $20 coupon if I spent more than $200. It expires May 2, and I don't plan to spend that much before then. So I'm offering it up for grabs.

If anyone plans on buying something(s) for more than $200 at TigerDirect.com, I'll send you the link to redeem the coupon.

It's a unique, one-time use coupon so I don't want to just post it for anyone to use.

I have all 10 volumes of the critically acclaimed graphic novel  "Y: The Last Man".

250px-Y_-_The_Last_Man_23_-_Widow's_Pass_03_-_00_-_FC.jpg

I will send to a dc supporting/honorary member in the USA (sorry shipping costs make it too much to send overseas).

Personally i didn't like it but it seems to be fairly well regarded.  At least it's big enough to keep one occupied for a while.

Oooh, I love apocalyptic stuff. Sign me up, and I'll cover (at least) your shipping cost.

Anybody remember "Kamandi: The Last Boy on Earth"?

So my brother gave me his old Palm Pilot Professional.
(Mono screen, includes pointy thing.)
It's in good shape, but I don't have the charger, and don't speak Graffiti.
Free to a good home.
Yeah, trees don't grow on money either.

I have 7 cases of 10 each (that's 70 count for ya'll that can't count  ;)  )  Sony HF 90 minute cassette tapes.  These are brand new blank tapes still in the original plastic wrap.  These tapes originally cost approx $5.00 each. (A little more after taxes)
I'll split them up into individual cases for ever how many people want them (to give more than one person something).  All I ask in return is that you pay for shipping and make a donation to DoCO for ever how much you deem.
I'll send them directly to you on the honor system and will email you the cost of shipping.  This is for DoCO members only and in the U.S.

How many DC people do we have in the UK? I have a whole bunch of things I could donate, but if it's just 12 of us it's too much effort :)

We really need to start giving more junk away that's just sitting on shelf.

I recently removed two of these low-profile 2009 graphics cards from an older htpc that i am upgrading:

14-187-061-05.jpg
SPARKLE SX98GT512D3L-NM GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card
http://www.newegg.co...Item=N82E16814187061

I removed them because they were running so hot -- like 60 celsius at idle, and up in 80s at load.  And they weren't quiet at that speed.

So in good conscience i don't think i would recommend these, despite newegg ratings, but if you have a use for them and you are in US i will send them and pay the postage.  But please only if you are going to use them.  Like maybe your current card is worse and also runs hot. And these are only really useful if you need a low-profile card, otherwise get yourself a full height card.

I need to make another pass through my boxes and post more things in this thread while there's still a slim chance someone might want something.

Others feel free to offer your junk.

Figures...

Just emptied out two Westy storage cubes last month that were packed to the gills with perfectly workable electronics that nobody local wanted.

One thing I've learned the hard way: if somebody says they want something you're giving away - but don't swing by to get it immediately - they'll change their mind once you start pushing them to pick it up. And at $300+/mo. for storage space, that form of procrastination gets expensive pretty fast. Even more expensive than the recycling fees you'll pay to responsibly get rid of the stuff if you wait long enough. Like I did.
 :-\

I'll have to check around to see if anything survived that tech-apocalypse. :)

yep.  let's face it, in the tech world, after a few years, it's often the case that there is simply no use for some of this stuff.

Been a while since we did any spring cleaning.

Anyone want this? Garmin Nuvi 760 with accessories.
I updated the maps fairly recently, and I may have upgraded the firmware, can't remember.  Has some additional accessories and a 4gb memory card.
I will pay for shipping within the US.

I'm starting to ponder. Quick question, what's that thing on the right? But back to GPS's, I'm musing because even though I'm good at the downtown Manhattan NYC grid, the minute I go anywhere else I'm hosed when the roads go sideways and stuff. I have no idea what walking speeds do to GPS's vs driving, but let's say I get off a train, when it gets around to re-orienting it could help, and maybe even at walking speed if I botch taking the wrong road, it might eventually notice and get around to correcting me.

I used  to have a Mio but I lost it somewhere. I remember it being a little weird in NYC, but I'm pondering.

its an optional weighted thing that can sit on the dashboard to hold the device, instead of using the suction mount.

Ah. So I wouldn't need it. I'd be holding the thing by hand.

So how about I put in my bid?

I mean even if it's not quite as fast on the draw updating my progress as driving, it would still be better than stark raving terror I have now!
