cannot copy/paste in word

I have the newest MS Word (not sure which version, it doesn't mention anywhere!)

I cannot copy/paste using CTRL keyboard shortcuts!

is this a known glitch?

In Office 365 you have to create those hotkeys yourself:

Somehow the ctrl-C, ctrl-X, and ctrl-V shortcuts were unassigned in Word. I went to file>options>Customize Ribbon, then clicked on the customize button in the lower left where it says "keyboard shortcuts". The category was Home Tab, and the commands were EditCopy, EditCut, and EditPaste. I entered CtrlC, CtrlX and CtrlV respectively.

SelectAll = Ctrl+A
Find = Ctrl+F
Undo = Ctrl+Z
