Hi,
Can anyone help me out here?
I want to extract pics from a .mov video (Canon 5D mark2 camera)
What i do now is play the video and grab a screenshot with Screenshot Captor every few seconds.
But I would like to automate this, so i can extract a picture (jpg, png,..) every second or so.
Quality of the pics is essential!

I don't know if i can do this using Screenshot Captor or if i have to use another prog?
Every tip is welcome!

there is an autocapture option - I dont see any way of making a hotkey for it though - only seems accessible via the tray context menu (?)

Edit // I dont use it myself - it looks like you toggle it on/off and it will then work automatically when you press any of the capture hotkeys.
Try it out :-)

in my experience, that's generally the case when taking stills from video - unless it's very high resolution footage and there's not much motion in the scene.
I would suspect that SC is not to blame, as it records exactly what is on the screen.

Alternatively, you could use the multiplatform command line tool ffmpeg. :-*

ffmpeg is a powerful and complex tool that can do just about anything when it comes to video. It's well worth spending some time with it to get an idea of all the things it can do. But to cut to the chase, here's how get it to do what you're asking without getting into too many details about all the options ffmpeg supports. The how-to is from a Linux perspective, but the command works the same in Windows so just follow along.
