Carol Haynes:
Anyone tried FirstDefence from Raxco - it looks useful - a sort of cross between Imaging and System Restore.

i google and found their forum:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=84
and that forum points to a different software company, not Raxco:
http://www.leapfrogsoftware.com/
:tellme:
Carol Haynes:
Presumably RAxco have licensed it.
Has anyone tried it? It looks to me like something similar to GoBack ??

i read this thread for info reg. TI vs FDISR:
My experience with FDISR
i like the ability to boot into the snapshots, we can create 10 snapshots max so it is like we have 10 different partitions to boot into.
but creating the snapshots is damn slow, my c drive is 2.2GB, used 1.5GB,
--TI takes 2.5 minutes to create an image, image size is 750MB (default compression at 3/10)
--FDISR takes 7 minutes to create a snapshot, size, 1.5GB, (what a waste of space).
i dont like it, will uninstall it later.

Thanks - useful info
