As hinted at in the screenshot above, i've added a couple more features that will hopefully enhance the sort-by-date option.

Awesome..!  Thanks for the update.  Not sure if the "section divider" is working as planned.  I've got a descending alpha sort on a recent files folder, and the divider seems misplaced (it is in between 2 files opened this morning).  Will use it for a few more days and report back... but thank you!!
