Arduino/Raspberry Pi - The perfect bonding experience for geek/techie couples?

This past weekend, my boyfriend and I spent the entire weekend making things with Lilypad/Arduino. I did the coding and sewing (I'm making wearables) and it turns out that he was really into electronic components as a kid so he started with that. Then I hit a glitch in my code and he had something wired wrong and we both worked through the logic on both things and fixed the problem. Talking to Mouser about it and how much fun we had, we realized that this could be a great thing not just for kids but for adults who are looking for something that's geeky fun! :) Give it a shot!

Awesome!  :Thmbsup: Of course it pays when you have two geek types operating as a team, although I have yet to meet a woman who didn't display a flair for technology once she got her hands on something 'techy' and decided it was worth her time. My GF is the gadget and database design wonk in our relationship. I go to her for tech support when it comes to those sorts of things.

FWIW I really enjoy watching the young ladies in my family whenever they get around a computer or workbench. They put the boys to shame. And I'm not the least bit surprised. 8)

Yes, it's true that it helps to have two techies. I got into arduino due to trying to make some conductive fabric art (I'm making a cody with lilypad right now!).

I sort of wish I had a daughter to see what she could do with some of this stuff! Fun!
