Don't know where I got it, but I have a program in my Utility folder called RegShot.exe.  You run it, select "1st shot", do your install or whatever, and then click "2nd shot".  The program shows you what registry entries have changed.

-latest version is 1.9.0.7 via http://sourceforge.net/projects/regshot/

Modified:
hahaha! Well I miss-read that, didn't I.
The latest version is 1.9.0 and this particular container was a 7z,
making it 1.9.0.7z  :-[

---
bytheway:
New to 1.9.0:
x64 and Unicode versions.
You can compare shots saved with different "UseLongRegHead" option.
Loading ANSI hive files in Unicode builds and vice versa is not supported.

I track their actions with Snapshot feature in 'System Explorer' - easy and quick to use.

For software installers I use 'ZSoft Uninstaller' (x32 installers only) and 'Soft Organizer' from ChemTable Software (x32 and x64 installers).
