also, file > save url list to file
should be save url list to file, and a second menu item, 'save selected url(s) to file'
otherwise its confusing when only one url gets saved if only one url is highlighted...
also, i'm compn on the streambox forum if you want me to test your beta's ;p
thanks for all your hard work! url snooper is very useful!

ability to send urls to programs still exists, you configure the apps to send to from the options. you can configure any applications that take urls on commandline.
can't create new topics? that should not be - let me look into it.
i am going to try to update all of the donation coder apps in the next month with the requests that have been building up and your issues are at top of the list.
im not sure though about referer and useragent.. is actually a good idea if the information can be retrieved - i'll look into it.

i checked the settings and can't find any settings that should block you from being able to start a new topic. what does it say when you try to do it?

it says, you do not have permission to access /forum/ on this server... bleh, works now, must have been tired last night, thanks for your quick reply and continued support of your great programs i've seen the user agent in the urlsnooper packet information on the GET /xxx packetts, dunno about referrer, maybe just a quick and dirty option to use the same domain as the referrer, e.g. www.file.com/pants/file1.asf with referrer www.file.com/pants/ah yes, i see the app options menu, gotta remember not to post late at night! can you create a $filename arg to spit out the filename of the url i want, like file1.asf so i can redirect wget's output to another directory. i had a more detailed explanation of what i want, but the forum keeps killing me when i try to post it -O d:\$filename

so you want a $filename macro argument that is basically same as $file but without the directory? good idea, i will add that.
i'll make a new version available this week with all the changes we've discussed.
anyone else experiencing these forum issues? are you using something that might be blocking the forum cookies maybe? i'm thinking that might confuse it.. or maybe youve got somethign strange set in your forum profile saying to log you out automatically after only a couple of minutes?

so would you want a $referrer argument and a $useragent argument?
ironically its a lot easier to add such things internally and track them if i don't have to nescesarily show them in the user interface, so it may be easier for me to add those fields for now just as argument macros for launching 3rd party programs.
