I want to ask dc members to make a real effort to post about websites they can find where authors are asking for donations to support their coding.

The operating system doesn't matter -- the only requirement is that they are actively asking for donations.

Make a post about the website and tell us a little about it and attach an image.

I'll blog the post and make sure to put it in the newsletter, and then eventually we can start putting together a nice web page summary.

I'd really love help giving these folks some overdue recognition and if you are looking for a way to make this site better, I can't think of a better way.

Does this sound like something any of you would be willing to help with?

I suggest that you start a new thread for each website rather than adding them here -- let's try to give each site the spotlight it deserves.

Has the DC Software page done a big chunk of this effort over the years? Last I knew lots of those links went to the author's home pages.

The DC Software page is a completely different thing..

I'm talking about drawing attention to donationware authors that have nothing to do with DC.

When starting a new thread, for donation supported software, make a note that its supported by donations along with links for info and donations. And anything you might want to say about the author or authors. Even within a thread it should be noted.

With here being donationcoder, donationware certainly should be promoted.
 And donations encouraged.
I did not put it together till reading this thread.

should it just be in Living Room, or will you create a new child board called something in the area of "other donation based sites", a la "Mini-Reviews by Members" ?

It should be in the general software section.
