When you say below, do you mean like this:

+----------+
|          |
| Image #1 |
|          |
+----------+
+----------+
|          |
| Image #2 |
|          |
+----------+

Or like this:

+----------+
|          |
| Image #1 |-----+
|          |     |
+----------+     |
      | Image #2 |
      +----------+

Here's a quickie screencast video (using mouser's Easy Screencast Recorder):

Of course, you can simply use Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V, instead of the copy/paste toolbar buttons, to copy/paste the images.

Well spotted Skwire, I had presumed the second example...

um, you are right, I should 've made it more clear

the alignment (the space between the two photos should be zero) should be done automatically
also, it is not that easy, when the photos are alot of bigger than the canvas, which is the case I refer to (you have to play with zooming I suppose, but not sure)

Well spotted Skwire, I had presumed the second example...

I did, too, at first but I thought I'd better clarify.  FWIW, kalos, MS Paint has no concept of layers so you cannot do like the second example I gave.  If you want to do that, you're going to have to use a more advanced image editor like Paint.net, vlastimil's RealWorld Paint, etc.

No, there is no way to do that automatically in MS Paint.

the only usable way is to first calculate the total height (and width) of the two pictures and then click "New..." and put in the new dimensions. And then slowly drag the top picture down. Paint was never meant for more than a single photo, in fact it was never meant for a photo! But thankfully the world is full of "competitors", so tell us why you want to use Paint.

Because MS Paint is a built-in, thus universal, in every pc
I thought there might be a trick

Do yourself a favor,
download ImageGrid, a free utility coded by DC member vlastimill:

it is designed to make it easy to combine images like this.
