Merry Christmas to all and a very prosperous and Happy New Year!

We actually had a white Christmas here in Western Kansas.

It hit almost 10c here in North West Lancashire (England) today...Warmest Christmas day I remember EVER.  Not normal, and not nice...I like to freeze my ass off on Christmas Morning.  :(

According to my very sensitive body thermometer ('tween ninety (90) and forty (40), that is), that equates to ~twenty degrees F, but then I can't really feel a difference between zero and thirty  :P.

Since not all cultures celebrate the birth of the Christ, but every culture I wot of does celebrate the new year (although not at the same time), may I wish to each and every person a happy, comfortable, and profitable new year.

Yes, Merry Christmas to you all (except any CAGW skeptics, of course).
Beautiful summer's day where I am in Godzone (New Zealand) - it is 25°C and humid, thankfully with some cloud cover (NZ sun is very strong). The pohutukawa trees started blossoming in Auckland in early November (normally occurs around Christmas) and the cicadas started singing soon after (which was early for them too). Either of these things on their own are said to presage a long, hot summer; both together, more so. We shall see.

It's definitely picnics, shorts and sandals weather though.

daddydave:
Merry Christmas, all!
