Backspacer special.  Control-Backtic  sends 4 backspaces  Alt-Backtic sends 7 backspaces.

Hover mouse on try icon for the info above.

Not sure I'd call it a "backtic" but close enough.
It seems to work for my early use cases, so I'll holler if it misbehaves.

Let me know if you think it's perfected. I can change the tray tip and add a custom icon once we know it's not buggy.

Ok, I made the changes to tray tip and added a green left arrow custom icon.

Trtyign now with a glorious ly layzy post... and some entries in  spre spreadsheet.
Yep. I think it works at least on the basics. It copul  could be a while befoe before any bugs pop up.

Miles, is this worth putting on your web page?

For now I'd consider it a "coding snack." If you want I can add an About Box with something like Backspacer v. x.x Coded especially for (your desired handle here).  That would only take a minute. Then you'd have a one-off special app. :)

Heh that's nice of you, but I'll save that token-chip for something else : )

My intent was more of helping the devs here get to add stuff to their download pages after the snacks are done. If I found it useful, we won't know who else will. : )
