There are loads of great clips from when it was a radio series and a few from TV series too. One of my favourites is here (sorry it is a George Bush spoof but it isn't really political just a send up)

Any one have any ideas on how to capture the 'Bloody Cold' video? URL Snooper doesn't seem to pick it up and it isn't listed on the BBC website.

To continue the Dead Ringers theme ... here are some brilliant sketches from the BBC Radio 4 series based around Doctor Who.

Most of these are also Jon Culshaw (who spoofed James Blunt) pretending to be Dr Who calling genuinely perplexed members of the public!

I really love these telephone conversations, but I especially loved his telephone spoofs where he pretended to be William Hague (the former conservative leader) calling various people. Here is an example (Quote from the website "The American election in 2000 is up in the air. William Hague offers to help.")

There are precedents.  Stella Gibbon wrote a book called Cold Comfort Farm some time early in the 20th century.  It was a spoof of a certain kind of country house novel prevalent at the time.  The spoof has remained - people still occasionally read Cold Comort Farm and remember its catch-phrase, "something nasty in the woodshed," but the novels it was originally sending up have all disappeared without trace.

Actually "Cold Comfort Farm" was made into a brilliant TV drama a few years back (I can't remember exactly but I think it was the BBC).
