The brain's judgmental biases

(1/1)

momonan:
Good article in the New York Times today on the way the practically unavoidable way the brain makes judgmental biases.  http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/16/opinion/16gilbert.html?ex=1145419200&en=e3175c47c394db20&ei=5087%0A

mouser:
nice find with lots of fun annectodal stuff.

you know it took a couple of hours for this to settle in, but a good point in that article might warrant mentioning in my donationware article.

one of the things it points out is that people are geneous, except when they think they might be taken advantage of, and feel like people might be freeloading off their money/work.  it suggests that one issue to address in asking for donations is to assure people this is not the case.

gjehle:
great article
