Haven't tried it though.

Thx philtsc! Downloaded it. I'm gonna give it a try. :)

Interesting. It lost me when I saw pipes and "grep". I don't really need a learning curve for tons of commands when I already have other ways to do things that only take 5 seconds at most. (Yes - I know grep. I was grepping things many years ago when my TA was joking about how we could tell our mothers about how we learned to grep things.) And seeing that I need to type "launch" to start something that I can simply do with the Windows key and typing less? Maybe it's bad presentation, but it just lost me there.

Paul Keith:
I'm of the opposite. I like that it tries to bring up grep to the non-power users. The rest of the features though, reminds me of FARR.

I already have grep in my text editor and it works very well. I suppose that Pipy can be very good for some people though. And really, grepping is simply so damn cool... But, I'm a regex freak there - they just save me so much time and make life so much easier. (And I still have a long way to go in learning more.)

I'm just kind of getting lazy with software. I already have most of what I need, and usually, when I need something new, most of the time it either doesn't exist, so I have to write it myself, or it's out there, but requires me to set up a new OS, install a truckload of pre-requisites, then compile it from source, use it from a command line, and learn a bunch of undocumented commands - again, usually easier and faster to write the portions that I need from scratch.
