How do I index capture by numbers?
« on: September 10, 2012, 01:04 PM »
Hi all.......
I just got Screenshot Captor and I would like to list all my captures numerically.....that is; One to infinity.
At the moment it is listed by date.
How can I fix that please?
Thanks.

Do you mean you want the files NAMED like Screenshot1, Screenshot2, etc.?
Go to options, and then select "File Naming Template" and change the Default New File Name to like
%quickfield% Screenshot %num%

The %num% field will be set automatically in order to uniqueify filenames.  So it will reset to 1 if you change the base filename.

An alternative way to automatically number captures will be present in the next release, using %numinc%, a field that will auto increase and which you can manually set, and which is independent of any filename uniquification.

Thanks a million....it worked and now my captures are numbered in order automatically. I will be looking out for the next release.
I found Screenshot Captor almost too overpowering and complicated and almost deleted it from my computer but stuck to it and now it is all starting to seem a little more easier to use. It would be great if you made a simplified version of screen captor for dummies.
