^ No different than any other contest.  If you get a large item, you have to pay gift taxes on it.  That's why many of these contestants on game shows end up in worse condition than when they went on- they have to pay taxes on a tangible item that they might not have the liquid funds to cover.

Kneejerk reaction: email shell extension is a separate product? It's not like you need a big honking Outlook toolbar button to send zipped files.

Roughly the same here .. at first I thought "winzip for free, maybe a slightly simplified version or something, worth a click", but the slight enthusiasm quickly cooled when I saw it was (even an older version of) some addon to zip files for e-mail.
