Another possible project, which I could use, for one.
Metronome Timer. User adjustable tones per minute. Countdown timer.
Purpose of project: Speed reading practice. Eye-movement pacing.
There are plenty of metronomes out there. But not what I need.
From my standpoint what's crucial is:
-- Small and simple. (preferably 250 pixels wide or less)
-- Remembers where it is being opened and run on desktop. Reopens in exactly that same place. (say, upper right-hand corner)
-- Remembers amount of time to start counting down. (say, 10 minutes)
-- Remembers number of tones per minute user wants. (say, 120)
-- Can start sounding and counting down immediately upon execution. (no need to even press Start)
-- Gives some obvious indication when time is finished. (perhaps a long tone)
Enhancement possibilities:
-- User-selectable color scheme. (not too distracting)
-- User-adjustable tone signals. (higher or lower, maybe specific like 440 Hz)
The idea is to fire up the ebook reader, double-click MetroTimer, and read, read, read....
Thanks!
