Here are my results on my 2nd try, beat this if you can!
(Actually I did better on my first try, but I stopped early because it didn't seem like the damn thing was ever ending -- but it does end so you have to keep going until it tells you to stop)

My keyboard is Lysdexic. That's why I have Control-t to transpose last 2 chars typed. I opt out because it would be way too frustrating.  'sides, I was only in the mid-20s range using a physical typewriter when I took Typing 101.  :)

Mouser you must be working on The Great American Novel(tm) !!  That's pretty high score for a guy.  There was one chick in my typing class that hit the 70 WPM range like a day after she was taught the basic keyboard drills. She's prolly up over 100 WPM now. Of course way back then, Typing Pool was a legitimate goal for entry into a business career.

I got stuck with an old Smith Corona manual with horrible action.  The Royals had a much smoother stroke. I had to mash the keys to get the thing all the way to the paper to leave a legible letter. :)

I REFUSE to accept that josh is a better typist than me.
Something is fishy.

I have demanded proof from josh, certain that it was a photoshop scam.. I have lost my wager and am now forced to acknowledge Josh is more skilled than me.  I am still coming to grips with the repercussions of this new information.  Is this today's new Army? Fastest typists on the planet?  My world is rocked.

out of curiosity can you explain how you would use a macro to cheat on something like this?

Nevermind, i see you can copy all of the source text and then paste using a tool that will past in clipboard using keys, like my own Clipboard Help+Spell:

I am not satisfied that this is my best. It's been a long time since I tried to speed type rather than just naturally type--and didn't really hit my flow til halfway in. Also, my son was talking to me. All excuses aside, I did beat Mouser so I'm content to leave Josh with the lead.

I'd say Josh currently holds the (legitimate) fastest typing speed record.

Or if I use the G15 with a 2ms character delay:

What is the G15?

I think it's the Logitech G15 gaming keyboard that can record and playback macros.
