This confused me for a minute. James Holmes being the crazy shooter, of course we need fewer of those. So no contradiction at all, the world needs more people like the three heroes, and fewer crazy shooting people. So I guess that is the same as what you are saying. It is an either/or. We can either have more heroes to throw into the machination of lunacy ...or...(preferably)... We could have less lunatics that force heroes to be "validated" in death.
